Plastic Penny was a British psychedelic rock band active in the late 60s. Their single "Everything I Am" (a cover of Box Tops' tune) charted in 1967, but they never managed another hit. They released two LPs Two Sides of a Penny (1968) and Currency (1969) and a few singles before breaking up. Several members of the band went on to prominence in other bands: drummer/singer Nigel Olsson (The Spencer Davis Group, Uriah Heep, Elton John), keyboardist Paul Raymond (Chicken Shack, Savoy Brown, UFO), guitarist Mick Grabham (Cochise, Procol Harum).
