Penthouse Playboys

There is more than one artist with this name. 1) Penthouse Playboys was formed in Oslo, Norway in 1989 and play some sort of easy listening/disco. The bandmembers have a humoristic attitude and play a role as arrogant, glamorous and sexy. According to themselves they are - and always will be - 23 years old. The band was formed by Kjetil Rollnes ("Jens Pikenes", vocals and the band's spiritual leader) and J?rn Mortensen ("Johnny Lotion", guitar and the band's musical leader) under the name Bj?rnstjerne Humperdinck & Basunenglene. This bandname was kept until 1991.

The bands first promosingle, Do You Think I'm Sexy/Smoke On The Water, was due in 1995, the same year as the band's first Christmas concert. These concerts turned into an annual tradition in Norway and always feature a Norwegian female celebrity as a special guest. The band released their debut album, called Sånn skal det gjøres ("That's the way to do it"), the following year but have not released any albums since.

Penthouse Playboys have been though many lineup changes, and currently consist of (in addition to the two founders) Lars Myran ("Ron Maiden", bass), Sverre Thorsteinsen ("Odd Stewart", keyboards) and H?vard Gjestvang ("Howard Juice", drums).
