STEPHEN DEG was born in Bromley,Kent,England while in Tokyo met up with two Japanese ladies: REI NONOSHITA (Guitar,Vocals, Programming) and AKEMI AIZAWA (Bass,Vocals and Live show management co-ordinator) from the same workplace MLS (English Through Drama) school and formed ORANGEY back in 1992. They have done concerts,organised events around Tokyo : CLUB ORANGEY Done music for film, received airplay : VIRGIN, INTER-FM in Japan. via GLOBAL VISION (UK run music company) headed by JON LYNCH , released their domestic (Japan only) debut release:
"ORANGEY" (2000) at that time available through Tower Records , HMV, Disc Union and other stores .
The line up since that recording which also featured TAKURO HARIMAN has changed .....Stephen and Akemi now joined by YUUKA MATSUDA (violin,vocals) and ATSUSHI SATO (Guitar,Bass,Co-production for live and some recordings with Stephen.
