NEBLUNG PRICE is strictly a studio band from New York and New Jersey. A duo, JIM PRICE and RICK NEBLUNG record all their material in an onion drying shed, using a vintage 8 track tape machine and an analog mixing desk. To date, there are three available CDS: THE SAVAGE SONGS OF NEBLUNG PRICE (1998), DARKER (2001) and THIRD (2005). Their fourth release, DEATH TO ALL BASTARDS is scheduled for release in the summer of 2011. JIM PRICE was a disc jockey at WFMU-FM from 1976 to 2001. WFMU is a listener-supported, non-commercial radio station broadcasting at 91.
Mhz FM in Jersey City, NJ, right across the Hudson from lower Manhattan. It is currently the longest running freeform radio station in the United States. RICK NEBLUNG is currently a disc jockey at the Roxbury New York radio station WIOX FM. The program is called TURN ON, TUNE IN OR DROP DEAD. RICK is fast becoming a local legend due to his unusual broadcast of school closings and travel delays by singing in "Flutter Tongue" style.
