Myridian

There are at least 2 bands that go by the name of Myridian. 1. Myridian are a melodic death/doom metal band based in Melbourne, Australia. Formed by drummer Myles Thomson and guitarist Josh Spivak under the name Braak De Ziel, the recruitment of guitarist Scott Brierley and keyboardist Jules Wheeler in mid 2009 kicked off an extensive songwriting process that would culminate a year later with the departure of Thomson and addition of vocalist Felix Lane and drummer Alex Hutchinson.

Tobia Zama served as bassist in early 2011, though left at the end of the year to focus on his thrash project Sewercide.

Combining the epic melodies of scandinavian metal with haunting doom-inspired passages and progressive off-beats, the band released a three track demo in June 2011, and are looking to release their debut album ?Under The Fading Light' in late 2012. Produced by The Eternal's Mark Kelson, the album is the result of three years of perfectionist songwriting, and is set to garner the interest of anyone with an inclination for dark, powerful and melancholic death metal.
