Alize Rozsnyai is a lyric-coloratura soprano from San Diego. She began classical training at age 12 with Anna Bjarnson-Carson, and has wanted to be a professional opera singer ever since. She has performed with many orchestras in San Diego and Mexico as soloist including Cabrillo Chamber Orchestra, University of San Diego Orchestra, and the San Diego Youth Symphony. She has also given many recitals herself, including one last December to benefit victims of the October '07 California fires.
She recently was a national finalist in the Palm Beach Opera Vocal competition, as the youngest competitor there. She currently attends the Indiana Univeristy Jacobs School of Music and is a student of famed Soprano, Carol Vaness.
The daughter of the late Hungarian conductor, Zoltan Rozsnyai, and professional violinist Alyze Hammer, she hopes to continue on the musical legacy that is in her family.
Alize wants to influence positive change concerning the environment one day using her music, as she is passionate about this issue. She desires a career on the international operatic stage.
