1. The Southern Germany-based Marginal Prophets were founded in 1991 by Harry Reed and Peter Corbett. For their first CD, A Jar of Whiskey and a Glass of Beer, they were joined by Jim Klopfenstein. In 1994, Reed and Klopfenstein recorded A Slow Return, joined by Brian McNeil, formerly of Battlefield Band. 2. The Marginal Prophets were also a San Francisco based hip-hop group made up of The Noble Def G, Jamie Lemoine and Keith Knight. Keith also was a local comic artist who lampooned a lot of the issues that were facing the nation and the Bay Area in local papers.
