American singer/multi-instrumentalist Margaret Davis is known for her heartfelt renderings of the music of the Medieval troubadours and Celtic bards. Her performances and arrangements of Celtic and Early Music have garnered critical acclaim worldwide. Davis sings in French, Medieval French, Middle English, Latin, Proven?al, Medieval Portuguese, Gaelic, and English, and is an accomplished performer of the Celtic and Medieval harps, flute, and recorders.
Margaret can be heard on her solo CD "Princess of Flowers," and on recordings by Celtic rock band Avalon Rising, by her Celtic/Early Music quartet Broceliande, and by the Celtic duo Margaret & Kristoph. Her music has been compared to that of Loreena McKennitt, Clannad, Maire Brennan, and Enya. She performs worldwide at festivals, clubs, universities, conventions, and other venues. Davis is self-managed and self-produced and co-owns record label Flowinglass Music with husband and musical partner Kristoph Klover. Born in Galesburg, Illinois, U.S.A., Margaret moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1983, where she still resides. Her recordings in the Flowinglass Music catalogue are currently distributed by Goldenrod Music, Abyss Distribution, and Serpentine Music.
