Lynchmada have made quite a name for themselves in a rather short period of time - along the way landing supports for some of the biggest and best bands Australia has to offer. 2002 saw the formation of the band and subsequent release of their debut two-track single Stress Therapy (produced by Dave Leonard of Modern Music - The Butterfly Effect & Devolved). Not too long after the positive feedback came flowing in the band found themselves signed to Ward69 Records and got to work on their EP.

After an insane amount of line-up changes (over 10 if I count correctly) The Biggest Disappointment Is You was released for public consumption and does quite the opposite of disappoint - rather, it showcases a band with plenty of talent, writing skill and a load of potential.
Massive riffs constantly battle screaming vocals, pounding drumming and create a fusion of hardcore and metal that is sure to have a broad appeal with fans of heavy music in general and are all quite worth the listen. In 2007 the band released their debut full length album, The Other Mexico, to generally good reviews from Australian press. The band stepped up the production and songwriting, showcasing more variety than on their EP. Among the generally very good tracks are a handful of shining moments hinting at a lot of potential that I'm hoping will really be tapped in future releases.
In conclusion, this is another solid Aussie band to add to the growing list of quality music produced by the isolated country. Lynchmada - a relentless aural assault of earth-shaking riffs, growling vocals and heavy music from a very determined group of guys that's both nicely produced and executed.
