Loose Diamonds was a roots-rock band formed in Austin, Texas in 1989. Band members were "Scrappy"Jud Newcomb (guitar and vocals), Troy Campbell (vocals, harmonica and acoustic guitar), Mike Campbell (bass) and Ian Bailey (drums). The band won the NAIRD Indie Album of the Year award with 1993's Burning Daylight and 1996's Fresco Fiasco was listed among that year's 10 undiscovered gems by the New York Times. The group disbanded in 1996.
