As you can read in the Spanish version of wikipedia, Lone Star was one of the main band in the "Era Dorada de los Grupos Espa?oles" (Golden Age of Spanish Bands): Brincos, Bravos, Sirex, Mustangs, Salvajes, Z-66, Tony Ronald Group, Micky y Los Tonys, Los Rel?mpagos, Los M?dulos, etc., in the 60's and 70's.
In 1959, Pedro Gen?, musician of Conservatory, decide to go away to England. After a year of stay in that country he returns to Spain and is born the first formation: Rafael of the Fertile Valley - bass, Enrique Lopez - drums, Enric Fuster - piano and Pedro Gen? - vocals and guitar. Pedro, very influenced by the Blues, puts to the group the name of LONE STAR (moreover, it is the Indian name of the doll that will be the mascot of the group the first years). During one of the first performances of the band, a Dutch of name Willy Nab, suddenly join them and touches a pair of songs with the group. Willy will be the fifth component of LONE STAR. In 1962 they recorded the first disc, an EP, "My Babe", the first Rock performed in English in Spain.
