Lee Andrews & the Hearts was a doo-wop quintet from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania formed in 1953. They recorded on the Rainbow, Mainline, Chess and United Artists labels. In 1957 and 1958 they had their three biggest hits, "Teardrops", "Long Lonely Nights" and "Try the Impossible". Lee Andrews' son is Ahmir Khalib Thompson, a musician who uses the stage name ?uestlove as part of the well known Philadelphia based group The Roots and in his solo career.
