Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Lara Ewen tells stories, most of which are true. The quasi-autobiographical songs are set against a musical landscape that blends country, Americana, and singer/songwriter influences, drawing comparisons to people who sometimes get summarily lumped into the folk category, such as Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams and Jonatha Brooke. Lara's next album, titled 'The Wishing Stone Songs,' will be released in late spring 2011. The first single from that CD, 'Death Better Take Me Dancing,' is currently available through iTunes, CD Baby and most major online outlets.
