King Kobra was a melodic hard rock group founded by drummer Carmine Appice after his tenure with Ozzy Osbourne. They included four relatively unknown musicians. After moderate album sales, Appice decided to dissolve the band and join guitarist John Sykes on his Blue Murder project in 1989. Singer Mark Free (now Marcie Free - voice, however, remains unchanged) sang on Ready To Strike, Thrill Of A Lifetime, and parts of The Lost Years.
