Prolific composer of scores for American television who, despite having written consistently over the last 20 years, has never been given his shot at the 'big time'. Made his film music debut in 1980, writing music for the first six seasons of the detective drama series ?Simon & Simon?, and made his big-screen debut shortly thereafter, scoring the ?women in prison' exploitation pics ?The Concrete Jungle? and ?Chained Heat?.
Conlan soon settled down to a quiet but successful career writing episodic television music for shows such as ?Tour of Duty? and "The Equaliser", and acclaimed mini series such as ?V: The Final Battle? and ?The Belarus File?. He has since gone on to be involved with over 100 movies-of-the-week, notably the Emmy-nominated Christopher Reeve thriller ?Mortal Sins? (1992), with an occasional feature project to spice up his resume. He recently scored a big hit with director Tobe Hooper's gory homage to 1970s horror, ?The Toolbox Murders? (2003).
