Jann's music has been heard on the GRAMMY nominated "Healthy Food For Thought" compilation, MTV CRIBS and movies, "Dead Broke" (Warner Bros.) featuring Paul Sorvino. He maintains a steady touring schedule of about 75-100 shows a year in the U.S. and Europe and has opened and performed with a wide range of artists including Brett Dennen, Ben Taylor, Suzanne Vega, Rusted Root, Vonda Shepard, Rosanne Cash, Roger McGuinn, Renaissance and Annie Haslam, Jim (The Yardbirds) McCarty and the legendary Les Paul.?As a singer/actor Jann has been seen and heard in Broadway's?Jekyll & Hyde?as well as touring companies of?The Who's Tommy?and?Jesus Christ Superstar.
A citizen of the world, he has lived on three continents, making his home in the melting pot that is New York City. Before coming to the United States as an exchange student in Cleveland, Ohio, he lived in Germany, Kenya, and South Africa. As a singer and songwriter, his music reflects this lyrically, melodically, rhythmically and in his choice of eclectic instruments and musicians.
His most recent recordings, REVERIE (2008) and SACRIFICE EP (2010), have earned Jann respect as a singer, musician, songwriter, and someone with a new and viable slant on the music business at a time when the industry is collapsing under its own weight. Jann's approach to fan sourcing of production money and concerts in areas as diverse as Chicago and Germany is creating a ?cottage industry? out of popular music. REVERIE was made largely with fan support. Thousands have viewed (and reposted) Jann's remarkable video for DOING TIME, featured on AOL/Spinner. Watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/jannklose
Writes the Washington Post. "Klose wins over the listener with his soaring voice, which may be a staple of chamber pop for a long time to come."
