Howie Campbell

Born in Bath, NY Howie has been on the move since. After a stint in the Army, Howie bought a guitar and a couple albums and was out playing a year later. Since then he has been involved with a couple Big Bands, and regional groups playing anything from Country Rock, Southern Rock, Jazz standards, pop in the 70"s and 80"s to small jazz combo music in the new millenium. Howie now travels the USA with his wife Debbie and together they play originals and some covers in small venues and outdoor events.

Howie's sources of inspiration include life, family (especially the grandkids), the Bible, and folk and spirituals. Joined by musicians around the country, the Campbells bring uplifting music for encouragement and enjoyment.

Howie's style is a blend to influences including folk, jazz, blues, Americana, and vintage rock. Strumming or fingerpicking his LoPrinzi LR-20 makes up the bulk of his recorded material to date. But he is also stretching out on some jazz on his Gretcsh, and some edgier material with a Strat and Mesa Boogie Mark III.
