Will Kennedy is 28 years old and is the only member of Hollowday who is a Nashville native. He has experimented with various musical styles for over 10 years, and a few years ago, he finally began settling into his own when he became part of Hollowday. He still listens to a variety of music and has a variety of influences. Wes Daniels is 24 years old and moved to Nashville from Alabama in 2005 after receiving a phone call from a friend who told him to come to Nashville because his ability to play and write melody would take him far.
Wes Daniels is 24 years old and moved to Nashville from Alabama in 2005 after receiving a phone call from a friend who told him to come to Nashville because his ability to play and write melody would take him far. Wes wouldn't really consider any of the music to which he listens an influence; he is more or less only inspired by his fellow band mates. He has developed what he considers his own style of playing. He is not a member of the shred club; listening to music is how he learned to play. He was taught by Adam Jones, Dime Bag, Stephen Carpenter, Head, Monkey and too many more to list.
Once Wes met Will after moving to Nashville, he knew they would do something great. Wes and Will became the founding members of Hollowday about three years ago in 2005. They, along with Wes's friend Daniel, decided on the band's name after co-writing their first song, entitled ?Everything,? and they quickly decided they might be on to something. When introduced to Chris, Wes found his opposite but equal.
Rory Faciane is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He comes by his musical talent naturally as he grew up around musicians; he started drumming with local bands on the New Orleans circuit as a teenager. Up until the age of 17, he was self-taught, playing mostly by ear. Desiring to further his natural talent as a drummer, he received formal education and studied with several drumming legends. Rory started a national touring and recording career; began doing drum clinics in local schools and in music stores; released educational drum videos; authored several instructional drum books and magazine articles; has been featured in various magazines; appeared on countless recording sessions, television shows and radio broadcasts; recorded and toured with various artists; and opened up shows with some of the biggest names in the business. Rory has won many awards for his impressive drumming over the years.
Rory joined Hollowday in February 2007. He listens and plays all styles of music; diversity is always a welcomed change. Now with Rory, Hollowday is becoming a force! Each band member has his own musical preference and style, and their diversity gives Hollowday a very unique and distinctive sound.
Hollowday is what it is - four guys who write music for themselves and let everything else just happen. It has taken them further in two years than what has taken most bands in five to six years, and people have not seen anything yet! Just wait! The best is yet to come.
