Heidi's earliest memories of music are of the great old country legends like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr. and Kitty Wells, which her father played for the family on the car stereo whenever they traveled together. Whether it was a trip across town to the Diner for a Friday night meal with the family or a cross-country jaunt, he always had country music playing. Heidi has been dipping her toes into the music pool on and off throughout her life, following her love of singing. From high school musicals to a short stint at Catholic University in Washington D.
Heidi has been dipping her toes into the music pool on and off throughout her life, following her love of singing. From high school musicals to a short stint at Catholic University in Washington D.C. as a music major before transferring to the University of Maryland's School of Agriculture where she studied soil science.
Then in the mid 90's, during a particularly emotional time in her life, she rented a guitar from the local music store, asked a friend to teach her a few chords and started writing. She joined the Nashville Songwriters Association International's (NSAI) local chapter to learn about song writing and improve her skills. Heidi has been honing them ever since and has been inspired by many great musicians along the way.
It wasn't until a few years ago when she felt her writing skills were fined tuned enough to be worthy of publishing. Hence, she finally dove in and created her first full length CD, ?Snow Day? featuring a group of songs covering a wide variety of issues very personal to Heidi, but incredibly embraceable by a large population of music listeners and lovers.
