Agnes Poetry
Genre:
Pop/Rock

Agnes Poetry were a self-described "Renaissance Synth-Pop" band from Utah, performing and releasing material from 1994 to 2001. The band consisted of a trio of siblings, Rannoch, Randon and Ranita Purcell. Their first album, "Unrest," hearkened back to the glory days of synth-pop, invoking Depeche Mode (very heavily), Erasure, OMD, Anything Box, and the like. Their sophomore effort, "Forgotten," found the band moving in a gloomier and more experimental direction, with vaguely Arabesque melodies floating over their traditional wall of synthesizers.
