Heather Jeanette has a unique sound stemming from her wide range of influences of classic rock, pop and everything in between. She started dabbling in music at the young age of 7 with piano and then the violin at age 11. But it wasn't until she picked up the guitar that she started to get serious about music. Her first experience with singing and playing the guitar came at a beauty pageant in which she had to have a talent.
She decided with the encouragement of her father to sing and play guitar. Winning the talent competition made her realize her gift. Soon she started writing her own songs.
At the age of 15, she recorded her first 3 song demo and started playing her music at talent shows in school. Soon after she attended Berklee College of Music's Summer Performance Program in 2003. She immediately fell in love with the school and got a chance to perform on stage in front of about 2000 family and friends.
The school opened up her eyes to so much more great music than before. It expanded her influences to such classic rock as Led Zeppelin, Heart, Aerosmith, Pat Benatar. She decided to attend college there. Spending 2 1/2 years racing through the program and even singing for the hard rock band Tobacco Mosaic, she found her style and earned a Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in Music Business/Management.
After returning home she recorded a three song demo with Soul Haven Studios and has been gigging out ever since. She is currently working on material for her full length album.
