Daniel has played in many different bands through the years and the most recent project was as one of the front men in the reggae band Leela Bai, which was kind of a all-star band now that many of the members are heading for successful artist careers on their own seperately. Some of the members were:
Patrick Ray - Active today in the hip-hop duo Sidewalk
Jon Eimre - Has a solo project were he's playing blues and "fulsveng" with swedish lyrics
Verner Westlund - Has his own blues/country project called Into The Sun and he is also the lead singer in Autopilot Society
Other members were: Andreas Sundstr?m, Calle Falkenberg, Kange, Kim Fager, Erik Kockum.
It all started at the age of 12 when Daniel first started to play guitar. He had been taking piano lessons before and was always singing, but it was when he got the guitar in his hands that he really started understand that that was what he wants to do. He began to play in punk, rock and cover bands and soon he started his first solo project which at the time was called Mohock. Already in this early stage, when he was about 15-17 years old you could hear the many sources he picked his influences from. Later he left the Mohock project behind him for a while and started to play Swedish folk, singer/songwriter music. He recorded 3 albums in his own name. It was around this time that he first met Patrick Ray and they soon began to do music together as Pitz and Mohock, which later turned in to the band Leela Bai.
During these years he has studied music production and sound engineering and when Leela Bai had been around for about 2 years he decided to go to London and follow up his studies. Leela Bai split up and all the members went on to do their own projects.
Daniel is now working hard with the Dubious Quip project and has released an acoustic demo EP and a single from an upcoming album!
