Over the past four years, the five members of Down and Away have been writing, recording, and playing music in an attempt to make their Creator proud. The band has mainly been playing for audiences of Junior High, High School, and College-aged students by leading concerts of worship-music and other original music all along the West Coast. Since their debut album was released in 2002, the band has sold well over 8,000 cds independently.
They are excited about their new album, Broken-Ended Question, which was released last summer, as well as their highly-anticipated Echoes: A Worship Album which was released in the spring of 2004. Among other things, Down and Away has led worship for two straight ten-week summers at Mount Hermon's Ponderosa Lodge, and just recently finishd leading worship for Hume Lake Christian Camps' Winter Program that started in late 2004. The band played their farewell show at their home-church (Golden Hills Community Church in Brentwood, CA) on April 8th in front of a crowd of over 1,000 family members, friends, and fans. It was an amazing show that they will surely remember forever.
