Since her early childhood years, she has had an uncanny affinity with all of creation and a gift for expressing her feelings through music.
Studying Creative Writing and music during her teen years and beyond, combined with exposure to an incredibly eclectic array of musical styles and artists - from Classical to Latin and Jazz, from old-school Country and Blues to Folk and Celtic, and everything in between, Deborah has gathered fuel and inspiration to become an impressively diverse writer of intelligent, soulful songs.
With thought-provoking lyrics and a smooth, sensual singing style, she captivates even the most cynical of listeners.
Deborah has performed in numerous east coast venues including Ebenezer's, Mt. Laurel, NJ; Barrons Steak House, Clemonton, NJ; Dan's Seafood, and Family Night on the Boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ; FBC, Haddonfield, NJ; L'Aroma Rules, Woodbury, NJ; Upstairs at Nick's, Philadelphia, PA; and various Barnes & Noble Bookstores and Music. Her performances were well received whilst on tour in France and Wales during 2005, and in Scotland and England in 2007, and her first full-length CD, You'll Just Never Know ( now available at www.cdbaby.com/cd/deborahsprout ) has been steadily gathering fans in the USA, Europe and the UK.
Still recuperating from a serious hand injury in Autumn, 2008, Deborah is now gaining strength and focus and is beginning preparations for recording her second (and third) CDs.
