David Rivkin, a/k/a "David Z.", is a former member of Lipps Inc. and a well-known producer and engineer famous for his work with Prince in the eighties, where he played a key role in establishing the Minneapolis Sound. He has also worked with other artists like the Fine Young Cannibals (on their second album "The Raw and the Cooked"), Billy Idol, Neneh Cherry, Terri Nunn, Mike Gordon, John Brannen and Lee Kotke. His younger brother Bobby Z. was the Revolution's original drummer.
