A-lix is a He and a She with a drum machine and 2 guitars bursting with electro power and pop-punk energy.. ?Multi-national boy/girl duo A-lix have a very ?now' sound, as the two guitars and a laptop formula is fast becoming the next big thing. They are full of energy, jumping around on stage, and vocalist Vincent takes himself into the front rows of the audience [...] Their sound is like a mixture of Bis, Art Brut and the Presets, an electro feel with decent, raw guitars and slightly Franz Ferdinand-ish vocal stylings.

They have just been voted No2 of Top Ten Live Gigs of 2008 in Glasgow (Local Acts) for Bluesbunny Independent Music Reviews.
The half French, half Argentinian duo formed in Barcelona in 2005 & forged their distinctive sound while touring on a line traced from northern Poland to Buenos Aires for 2 years.
The band came back to their then HQ Barcelona to produce their debut album "Never Grow". Namechecking Ian Curtis or Iggy Pop on their single, they chose to release it on the innovative platform of Scotland's music scene.
It was named album of the week by John Peel Award 2008 Winner, Jim Gellatly on XFM radio, who championed their unique blend of European electro and dynamic retro-punk sensibilities.
BBC Radio 1 Scotland captured the band live at Hydro Connect Festival this summer and A-lix is regularly broadcast on Vic Galloway's show.
BBC Radio 6's Tom Robinson also "introduced" the band to a nationwide audience.
"Energy, enthusiasm and a dash of style" are terms used by live reviewers as A-lix are currently causing a storm on Glasgow's live scene. Highlight gigs include an unforgettable set at the legendary Razzmatazz in Barcelona and recent support slot for THE FAINT, DAS POP & MICACHU.
A-lix have worked with bookers such as DF Concerts, PCL, Sinnamon promotions or Dicelines Promotions.
The band also feature on various Electronic and Rock compilations across the UK and Europe

"Listened to your album all night, I f**kin luv'it!" - Thomas NcNeice, Gang of Four
"Comprising of a stylish Frenchman and a dashing Argentine lady, A-lix [...] create a wave of noise that leaves the audience dancing like puppets on strings. Even those usually opposed to electro-pop will worship at their feet." - Peter McGee, Bluesbunny reviews
"As pop as they are post-punk (some call it death disco), they wield their guitars like automatic rifles on blistering, swaggering beast of a tune" - Milo McLaughlin, The Skinny magazine
"I'm a fan" - Vic Galloway, BBC Radio 1
"A-lix is top drawer" - Tallah Brash, Fresh Air Live Radio
"The best gig I've seen this year" - Stilleto 13, Glasgow-based cool musician
"Remember those science lessons where they threw a chunk of sodium into a jar of water and it went boom! That is a pretty good way of describing the manic energy on show here. It's sheer directness seasoned with undeniable, if offbeat, continental flair" - Bluesbunny reviews
?Death disco never sounded this French and A-lix bring their own, contemporary style to the stage, while referencing a post-punk sound. Set highlight Never Grow sounds great? - Limbo
