Robert Fitzgerald Diggs better known by his stage name RZA (pronounced /?r?z?/; born July 5, 1969), is an American Grammy winning music producer, author, rapper, and occasional actor, director, and screenwriter. A prominent figure in hip hop music, he is the de facto leader of the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan. He has produced almost all of Wu-Tang Clan's albums as well as many Wu-Tang solo and affiliate projects. He subsequently gained attention for his work scoring and acting in films.
He has also released solo albums under the alter-ego Bobby Digital. In addition to the Wu-Tang Clan and his solo releases, RZA was also a founding member of the rap group Gravediggaz where he used the name The Rzarector.
After releasing the latest "Bobby Digital" album, Digi Snacks, RZA has completed work on the upcoming sequel to Raekwon's mafioso rap classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..., as well as the second installment of the Afro Samurai soundtrack, and the recent Wu-Tang Chamber Music album. He is currently working on a kung-fu movie, entitled Man with the Iron Fist, which he is writing, directing, as well as starring in.[1] He is also working on a movie, entitled Life Is Hot in Cracktown.
In 2009, Drop Magazine named RZA the greatest producer of all time.
