Ruby Slippers
Genre:
Pop/Rock

Formed in San Francisco by guitarist KV and vocalist Michael Arden in the first half of the 1980's, glitter rock combo Ruby Slippers (who took their name from the magical shoes worn by the character Dorothy in the 1939 "The Wizard Of Oz" movie) relocated to LA shortly after their formation in search of that elusive record deal. But despite A+R interest of various degree at several stages of the band's run, they never found a home at any of the major or even smaller record labels, with the exeption of having their track "Mon Cheri" included on a Renaissance Records compilation.
