In 1996 Alton took a break from the music business to dedicate himself to his family.
After a six year leave, he returned to the music business, and to date (2008) he has independently produced five additional albums.
In 2002, Alton began work on his contemporary Christian project, "He Brings the Sunshine", which was released in the Spring of 2003.
He followed that up with "Cold World" released the following Fall.
Early spring of 2004 saw the release of the Praise and Worship album, "I Believe", followed in early fall with "He Keeps My Dreams", a compilation of Contemporary Christian and Praise and Worship tracks.
The latest work "You Are the One", is a collaboration between Alton and his friend Rhesa Siregar. Completed December of 2005, it has turned out to be a very nice easy listening album, presenting a blend of Christian Smooth Jazz and Contemporary Christian tracks, with a dash of Praise and Worship.
Alton's next project, to be entitled "Always", is expected to be ready for release in the Fall of 2009.
