"Gospel music for today's generation". Gospel City was born into this world as Hip Hop, but has matured into a soul saving ministry, ready to spread the "Good News " throughout the world. It all started years ago when me, my cousin Frankie(now Past. Fransisco Vega), and my friend Curtis threw some words together over a P. Diddy beat for a coffee house up in Middletown, NY. The feeling that we felt was almost like we had just finished an hour long praise and worship session, but it was the reaction from the crowd that moved us to consider what we did as a ministering tool.
I have been blessed to work with Sean and Alvin Slaughter, Nikki Cruz' T.R.U.C.E., and Judy Torres. I have ministered in outreaches in Puerto Rico. I have won Mc Donalds Gospelfest. I have built strong friendships with many other gospel artists and churches. But the one thing I am most proud of is my family and my relationship with Jesus Christ. I feed off crowds, I dont get nervous on stage, I am always up for a new opportunity, but if this wasnt what God wanted me to do.......I would just stop. Slam the brakes and bring all this to a hault. I know that if I dont have the backing of Jesus, then this ministry is all for show. I love the Lord with all my being. Every fiber of me was born to praise Him, and if I am not doing it the right way, then I am not doing it at all. He saved my life. Rescued me and my family from poverty. And I could never forget Him for that. I am not perfect, but I strive to make Jesus smile. I am a Christian, I am my heavenly father's son, I am Gospel City. Gospel City is a music ministry, with flavors of Hip Hop, R&B, Reggaeton, Alternative/Rock, and Spoken Word. From slow intimate songs like "Love Song", "Father, why?" and "I'm Sorry", to heavy hitters like "Storm troopers", "Not Ashamed" and "Stand", to "get out your seat music" like "Praise", "Jesus Muisc" and "We Got the Flow", it's a melting pot of God glorifying music, that anyone at any age could listen to and fall in love with. Moving to a new level, Gospel City just dropped it's second full length album "Not Ashamed". I don't sound like anyone else, don't look like anyone else. The music speaks for itself. I do this because I love to be a difference maker in people's lives. If only one person ever took Christ into there life because of what I said on stage or in person, then all the sacrifice is worth it. I strive to hear "well done my son" from Jesus one day, that is why I do this.
