Gnotes

Gnotes is a multi-instrumentalist producer and underground MC from Seattle, now based in Boston. His bohemian style of hip-hop features live instrumentation and politically-charged, globally-conscious lyrics. With roots in both the Pacific NorthWest grunge scene and New England's culture of academia, Gnotes' music is a combination of b-boy breaks, distorted electric guitars and dense, subtle rhymes.

His debut album Inthrumental was constructed as a wordless cipher of multi-instrumentalist MCs, which included Afro DZ ak, Kabir, and Ryan Read. His debut MC album Rhymes and Beats was released in 2007.
