Explosive, Old Skool Heavy Metal with a punk rock twist. Zero Down is set on kicking your ass with Rock-n-Roll. Check it out.
Bio / Background
Formed in 2002 by veterans of the Seattle Music Scene, ZERO DOWN was created to hybrid the metal riffs of the NWOBM, the classic feel of 70’s Hard Rock, and the attitude of 80’s Punk Rock. Their new release, “Old Time Revival” brings all this and more. LOUD, PROUD & EVIL!!
PRESS REVIEWS
Very exciting band out of Seattle. A little Queens of the Stone Age, a little hardcore, but with the metal riffs of Clutch. Extremely catchy, highly pro, ten track, 33 minute digi-pack. Zero Down should be signed now! Not just because they're good, but because they could sell a lot of records!
Martin Popoff, BWBK Magazine Knuckle Tracks Issue #93
This relatively new Seattle band certainly sound like grizzled veterans on this debut CD, boasting ten fiery, old school heavy metal anthems delivered with a hardcore energy and a punk rock attitude.
↓ more ↓Equal parts Supersuckers, Motörhead and AC/DC, with tantalising hints of AFI, ‘90s Metallica, Megadeth, Ramones, Danzig, and, uh, The Darkness, ‘Old Time Revival’ rocks like two greased-up monkeys making out in a sweaty hammock.. Alcohol-fuelled, grimy, Satanic rock ‘n’ roll with big, swaggering hooks that’ll linger in your head long after you’ve woken drenched in your own vomit; punk and heavy metal haven’t collided this messily since Brothers Of Conquest unleashed ‘All The Colors Of Darkness’.
Ian Glasper, TERRORIZER Magazine (UK) Feb. 2006 Issue #141
Charismatic, energetic, lightning bolt in a bottle. ZERO DOWN have released a scorching new album of raw power, raw intensity and raw talent. If you have remotely enjoyed songs from the likes of AC/DC, Motorhead, Thin Lizzy, KISS, The Accused, Judas Priest, or even Iron Maiden, then please, I beg of you, check these ROCK GODS out. This is one for the ages boys and girls. This spells C-L-A-S-S-I-C!!!
Eric Compton, MAXIMUM METAL, Feb. 2006
I think with the right label this band could even have a few hit singles. They have a sound that could get respect from us old farts, but attract some of the younger kids at the same time. This band has tons of potential and if some label doesn't sign them and make them huge it is another amazing band lost under piles of crap. There are lesser bands that are being hyped way too much.
Mark Carras, ROCK MY MONKEY.COM, Jan. 2006
So trust me on this one, you will feel no regret whatsoever after buying this. Because when this album closes off with Rock N' Roll Kidz, you will definitely be ready to start over with track one again. Put it in your car stereo or whatever on your way to work, because this has to be the album of the year, at least pretty damn close.
