A rap-country hybrid from the cult classic film "Dead and Breakfast."
Bio / Background
The 2005 Ambush Entertainment comedy/horror film "Dead and Breakfast" introduced the world to the comedic talents of Zach Selwyn and the original musical composition of his country-hip-hop band ZACHARIAH and the LOBOS RIDERS.
Selwyn is featured throughout the film performing transitional musical numbers and narrating the action as it plods along. Director Matthew Leutwyler commissioned Selwyn and his band to write and perform three original songs for the film as well as the transitional pieces. The result was "Were Comin To Kill Ya," "Quiet Little Town" and "Possessed (Is The Way To Be).
Selwyn performed the transitional pieces during the filming of the movie in 2003.
The film premiered at the 2004 South by Southwest Film Festival and garnered immediate release from Ambush Entertainment. It has won many awards and the official website is www.dandbfilm.com.
"The film is constructed like a cross between NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY.
↓ more ↓Noted songwriter Zach Selwyn provides laugh out loud songs throughout the film similar in the way the Farrelly Brothers used musicians within THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY performing their own songs." - Mantaraypictures.com

Makes the Movie Even Bettercinemajunky wrote on December 28, 2007
I watched the movie last night and Zach's scenes were by far some of the best. I love how "Possessed (is the way to be)" spoofs traditional country songs and the rockabilly tempo gave the whole movie a certain fast-paced sense. "Quiet Little Town" is a great synopsis of the movie and it's hilarious to watch Oz Perkins ("Johnny") lip-sync while holding two decapitated heads. Spirit Possessed Zombies dance a la Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video in "We're Comin' To Kill Ya"; the lines "we're so alive when we kill, kill, kill" tickle viewers and listeners alike. "Hand Me Some Chew", "Johnny Stay Away From That Box", "David Kicks Ass", "Ten Bucks All Three Die" act as summarizers for the last few scenes that precede Zach's appearance. It's funny to watch him and The Lobosriders go from narrators talking directly to the camera to mindless zombies storming the front door and attacking Ever Carradine ("Sara"). The movie is funny, but I think its the soundtrack that makes it great.

Wow, when I originally seen this movie I had no idea Zachariah was a real musician. Boy was I ever missing out, this guy is one of the most talented musicians of this era, he can perform many different styles and make them all sound great. This movie was good but the soundtrack truly made it 5 star!!
