Bio / Background
Gospel recording artist, Ramond Yzer, is a living testimony of what God can do for those who believe. Throughout his musical career, he claimed God's promise that he can do all things through Christ which strengthens him (Phil. 4:13). Born in Suriname, South America, to the late Arthur and Ine Yzer, Ramond developed an appreciation for the saxophone at a very early age. He was influenced by the late Jopie Friese, an accomplished saxophonist, who was often called upon to play at birthdays and special family gatherings. He longed for the day when he would own his own saxophone and play just as well as Jopie. He carried this desire into his adult life. It came as no surprise that he motivated his son, Rendelle, to play the saxophone and his daughter, Natalie, to play the flute. How he enjoyed the many years of their music -- until they left home for college. It was at this juncture in his life when he stepped out by faith and asked God to bless him with the gift of music.
