Bio / Background
In their new genre-bending cd "Why Not Now?" Janet & Narayan Baltzo draw on a unique blend of New Age, R&B, gospel, jazz and Sanskrit chant influences to create an uplifting and joyous experience for listeners. In addition to Janet's work on keyboards, B-3 and vocals, and Narayan’s performance on fleugelhorn, trumpet, percussion and vocals, the CD features Don King and Jeff Johnson on bass, and Chris Leighton on drums.
With its memorable melodies and lyrics, "Why Not Now?" is purposely designed to fill a need: “There’s lots of great ambient music and lots of wonderful chants out there, but there’s a void of songs for people who are on a spiritual path,” explains Janet. “This CD is for people trying to be in the world yet remain connected to soul.” Adds Narayan, “We’re all connected. We’re opening ourselves as a channel to help uplift our collective consciousness.
