After 7 contempoarary jazz releases, national recording artist/guitarist Patrick Yandall returns to his blues/rock roots with his new release "New York Blues". If you love contemporary electric, blues/rock, this CD is for you. 9 originals and 3 covers. Hear him put a "Jimi" vibe to the classic "People Get Ready" and a beautiful strat wail on the Jeff Beck standard "Cause We've Ended as Lovers". He tackles another of his influences Dicky Betts of the Allman Brothers and stretches on thier classic, "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed". With influences of Larry Carlton, Jeff Beck, Steely Dan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Robin Trower, and many more, this guitarist mixes them all into his signature sound and vibe.
