Bio / Background
Maria Woodford is a traditionally ear trained musician who has been writing and performing for 11 years. Maria has also performed in a variety of theatrical productions and has appeared on over 18 studio and live albums over the past four years. In 1997 Maria produced a compilation CD ("NJ Bands: a benefit for Children's Specialized Hospital") which received critical acclaim in her region as one of the best indie compilations to come out of the tri-state area by some of New Jersey and New York's toughest critics. The project raised over $5,000.00 and all of the profits were donated to The Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ. (Check www.mp3.com for sound bytes.)
