Bio / Background

Woodfish is a intense fun five piece groove rock band. The band consists of Justin Newport (Vocals), Steve Kalorin (Bass Guitar), Dominic Kalorin (Drums), Steve Cumberland (Guitar) and Don "The Guy" Honeycut (Sax). Based out of Red Bank, New Jersey, Woodfish writes and performs a self defined style of rock music that blends several different styles of music together with each member's individual influences. Woodfish strives to keep the integrity of the art of self expression through music while trying to maintain a sound that will appeal to a wide variety of people. The band is not about being pre-packaged and targeted to one specific audience. If there is a formula it's simple, play from the heart and appeal to as many people as possible. Simply put, Woodfish grooves hard but yet still maintains the rock edge.
