Bio / Background
In 2007, Jabe Beyer won the BMI Music Maker Songwriting Competition and was nominated for two Boston Music Awards as well as a nomination in the WFNX Best Music Poll. His namesake band, JABE, has won the Abe Oleman Songwriting Award from The Songwriting Hall of Fame as well as Boston Music Awards. Four self-produced, self-released albums along with extensive U.S. and European tours have earned JABE a reputation as one of Boston's best and hardest working live acts. Beyer's side project, The Benders, bloomed into alt-country-bluegrass favorites, embraced nationally by the press and a hardcore fanbase. With great songs and honest-to-the-bone live shows, The Boston Globe hailed JABE as "a leader in the roots music renaissance," and Jam Magazine listed his 2-disc album Drama City at Number 2 in their Best 100 Albums of The Last 10 Years. A multi-instrumentalist, producer and prolific writer, Beyer is releasing his 4th album, Where Are We Going & When Do We Get There on Hi-N-Dry records.
