The one and only band of its kind in Florida - all native West African pop group, Wassalou, is a unique talent that is an important addition to the North American cultural landscape. Their level of musicianship is unmatched in this country.
Repertoire includes Hi-Life, Afro 6/8, Soukous and other popular African dance music similar to that which can be heard on Paul Simon's Graceland album. Their language, colorful and traditional costuming and dance are straight out of Africa. Very engaging with emphasis on audience participation. Frequent performers at Harambe Village, Disney's Animal Kingdom.
