The Walthall Tango has been described as "well-structured instrumental post-rock, weaving with a light touch of electronic effects and some slight strings into the guitar storm." -The Flagpole
Bio / Background
The Walthall Tango is a post-rock group from Macon, GA that draws influences from such acts as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Appleseed Cast, Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Mono, and The Mercury Program.
“The Macon six-piece of J.R. Olive [guitar], Andrew Lewis [drums], Andy Carter [bass], Alex Daugherty [guitar], Whitney Ott [keyboards] and Davis Wells [cello] plays well-structured instrumental post-rock, weaving with a light touch [of] electronic effects and some slight strings into the guitar storm. Not dissimilar to a poppier, peppier Mogwai or early Maserati.” –The Flagpole
