Wallace started writing his own songs in his late teens, every spare minute that was available to him was taken up with writing on endless scraps of paper and endless hours of playing the guitar and finding the various different styles he could achieve.
Bio / Background
Wallace grew up in the small fishing village of Tarbert, Argyll on the West coast of Scotland. Wallace started playing music from a early age and by fourteen was already performing live on stage with his Father and Uncle in a band called Revival, playing in venues on the North West Coast of Scotland where they were very successful.
Wallace had a musical upbringing, his Father was a member of the 60’s band Rab & The Clansmen who were a highly successful band at the time, touring the UK and America .
Wallace started writing his own songs in his late teens and his musical skills just got better and better. He is a talented guitarist and a marvellous melody maker, his talent is much to be admired.
In 1998 Wallace did a sing-a-thon for Charity, the event was covered by the Evening Times Newspaper when he performed in 61 pubs in one day, all proceeds went to Yorkhill Children’s Hospital for their fantastic work.
↓ more ↓Wallace recently moved from the Country to the big city lights where he is performing in venues all over Scotland. He had success last year with song writing collaborator Margaret Ritchie by securing a publishing deal with Cringe Music Publishers. In August 2005 the pair made the UK Song Writing Final with their song 'Love Untold', and August 2006 in the same competition saw them make the semi final with their co-written song 'Hold You Tonight', this song will be on Wallace's new album of 11 co-written tracks due for release early 2007. June 2006 brought more good news, Wallace's latest album 'Stay A While' was signed to Somebody's Music Record Label and released 30th September 2006. You can view information on this latest achievement at www.somebodysmusic.com .
Wallace is continuing his songwriting and back in the studio working on his new album. He is sure that the album will do well. Wallace's Management will be organising Concerts in 2007, watch the Gig Listings for a concert in your area, all information will be posted to the gig page.
Wallace would like to thank all his fans, family, friends and everyone who has supported him and continue to do so for their support, kindness and friendship and is looking forward to a long and happy career in the music industry
