Rock and roll adventure
Bio / Background
A quick glance at the career of The Wagon: Formerly known as Shaggin Wagon, Sutton Papanikolas and Quinn Cox, started a band at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ and quickly became the most popular rock terror of the town playing songs about one night stands, drinking until delirious and just not giving a damn.
In 2001, they moved their circus act to southern California to spread their word about life, love and latitude. After some years of different members due to change of heart and tragic losses, the band weathered the storm and emerged with the uncompromising drummer Rex Havoc.
In the fall of 2005, they recorded their first major effort “End of Summer”. The recording took place at the legendary Total Access in Redondo Beach where such greats as Guns n Roses, No Doubt and Sublime recorded some of their greatest music. The E.P. was independently released at the beginning of 2006 and encompasses their range while keeping their sound consistent.

Their versatility has always been something that they continually challenge. They bring together a wide range of influences from NOFX to Neil Young.“End of Summer” includes the rock-driven “F U Pay ME”, the hilarious "D.U.I.", and the entrancing sound and lyrics of “Lioness”.
Since its release, “End of Summer” has reached people across the globe through radio including 91X, San Diego’s premier rock station, Itunes, the Internet, word of mouth and touring. Every track has received steady airplay on several Internet radio stations including Amplify SD, a San Diego based station. It has also gained support from musical greats such as Mike Watt, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Slightly Stoopid, all of whom they have played with.
The band has been described as a group with “the humor of Tenacious D, the harmonies of the Beach Boys and the recklessness of Ween." Their songs are upbeat and always keep you moving.
Now with their first full-length album “Match Made in Hell”, The Wagon is ready to burst on to the scene. They have begun a tireless string of shows throughout the West Coast and will be gearing up to promote "Match Made in Hell" on the road at the beginning of 2008.
