A melting pot of mostly Acoustic Rock, Blues, Reggae, Country, and Wierdness along with songs even my producer can't describe.
Bio / Background
Wade McVey has been performing music for the majority of his life. Don't bother asking him where his first public musical performance was or if he was nervous because he doesn't remember. He is fairly certain that it must of been at church though. Growing up in a musical family, he played several insturments before finding permanent happiness playing guitar and singing.
Never sticking to one style of music, Wade takes great joy in blending different genres of music. If you don't like a song just go to the next it will sound completly different or fast forward some of the song. Theres a decent chance he might change the style mid-song. Some of his favorite styles are rock, jazz, blues, country, folk, and reggae. He doesn't like wearing shoes or anything on his feet (even in the winter time) witch is why most people call him "Barefoot Wade". Being that he can play multiple insturments, he insisted on playing all the background insturments on his album.
↓ more ↓The only time he gets someone else to play an insturment is if it's a good friend of his that he just wants to include on his fun. When he plays live he often uses loop machines to enhance his performance witch allows him to play lead while playing rhythm while harmonizing while switching insturments while....well you get the idea. Different things inspire Wade's original music. These include but not limited to dreams, strange experiences, girls, life, death, and sitting on a beach doing nothing but having fun. When he completed "An Original Recipe" his producer turned to him and said "Everytime I record some one I always ask them what there music sound like. They usually say that they don't sound like anyone else or that they have there own sound. When I asked you that question you did not make that claim, but you're one of the few artist I've worked with that could." Wade McVey does not have a booking agent, manager, promoter, or a record contract simply because no one has offered him anything he can't do himself. He does however have an accountant because he hates math.
