Original, rowdy, big city, guitar driven, Delta Country Blues Rock with deep roots.
Bio / Background
Voodoo Pilot features original blues-rock and Americana. Chicago audiences have enjoyed their shows at venues like Fitzgerald's, Elbo Room, Lyons Den, Beat Kitchen, Gunther Murphy's, Goose Island, The Heartland Café, Uncommon Ground and Phillis' Musical Inn.
In 2001, the five member Voodoo Pilot released a five song self-titled EP. 2003's "Sometimes" keeps John Liggett on Lead Vocal and Rhythm Guitar and Bill Galey on Lead & Rhythm Guitar, Keyboard and Background Vocal and adds Pete Senger on Bass Guitar and Rick Conlon on Drums.
The band recently opened for Roomful of Blues and The Fabulous Thunderbirds as a part of the Chicago Summer Concert Series. Voodoo Pilot was also featured on WXRT's Local Anesthetic and CAN TV's Expose. The EXPOSE show included an interview with the band and a 3-song performance.
Voodoo Pilot is currently performing in the Chicago area and working on their 3rd release after 2001's 5 song EP and 2003's CD, Sometimes.

"'Sometimes' is a soft, gentle lullaby, and sounds sort of like an in-tune Neil Young doing a revised version of Ryan Adams' 'Gimme Sunshine'." Matthew Pollesel, Splendid Magazine
"... magical and hypnotic...featuring righteous riffin'..." Richard Milne, 93.1 WXRT
"...rocking originals" JD, Noreasterzine Reviews
"Influenced by the Delta Blues...Voodoo Pilot gets it right." David Lockeretz, Muses Muse
