Bio / Background
A message from our buddy Dean O. Torrence.
The "Vertikals" are "Jim Alquist" and "James Armstrong," two of the luckiest guys I know. Since they were teenagers,
their direct musical association with artists like "Jan & Dean," "The Beach Boys" and "The Turtles" has had a unique effect on their song writing careers. "Vertikals" tunes are not nostalgic.
Clearly, this is New Music! Through my own personal introduction, "Armstrong" & "Brian Wilson" buddied up together for over 6 1/2 years. That friendship has created a profound effect in the arrangement and production techniques I hear in "Vertikals" music today.
All I can say is "turn it up and enjoy!"
Stay cool and keep on surfin'.
