Seen and heard onstage throughout the country - Diana Upton-Hill and her 12 piece Pop Orchestra. Restoration includes standards, pop hits, and Broadway tunes all performed beautifully by the Midwest's most popular young voice - Diana Upton-Hill.
Bio / Background
Listen to any of Diana Upton-Hill's music and you can probably imagine yourself being friends with this sweet-voiced music sensation. That is exactly what she wants to be, a friend to everyone.
With a heart of gold and a voice to match, Diana's musical life started early when she would get up on stage at age 6 with her dad's rock band and belt out a couple of songs for the crowd. Still, seventeen years later, she is moving every audience she performs for. As a versatile and distinguished musician Diana has become one of the most sought-after vocalists in the Midwest. She has been active in the jazz scene as the lead singer with the group, On Holidai. She has thrilled concert hall audiences as a featured performer with symphony orchestras, and Diana has even lent her voice to major musical theatre roles including Belle in "Disney's Beauty and the Beast", Annie Oakley in "Annie Get Your Gun", and Lucy Harris in "Jekyll and Hyde".
↓ more ↓Currently Diana is performing the role of June in the first touring production of the hit Off-Broadway show, "The Musical of Musicals: The Musical".
Diana has also been very active in the recording studio. Her debut single, "Your Day, Too", was released in April 2005 as a tribute to a high school friend who became a victim of Meningitis and has raised substantial awareness and funding for the Meningitis Foundation of America. In late November 2005, Diana released her first full length album, "Christmas Divine" which features her 13 piece 'pop' orchestra and arrangements by prolific jazz arranger, David Sharp. In Fall/Winter of 2006 Diana will continue touring with her orchestra. The album, "Restoration", was released April 1, 2006 and features songs from movies, Broadway, and the pop world. A portion of the proceeds from this release will also be donated to the Meningitis Foundation of America, continuing Diana's quest to raise awareness of this deadly disease.
No matter what she does, her goal is to do it with class, soul, and a certain charm that makes her like no other that has ever graced the stage.
