A "Must Have" collection of Acoustical String Swing/Jazz (Django Reinhardt type) with a strong common thread of Blues and Bluegrass, Real "Feel Good Stuff", Fine Finger Pickin', Super Slide, and Fast Flat Pickin' by Chris "Uncle Gus" Gussa.
Bio / Background
Those that are familiar with what Chris can do on an acoustic guitar have long been asking him to do an acoustic album, so here it is.
Much of this stuff is what Chris and his wife, Heidi, have been doing for years as a duo. It's so darn hard to get them to do a live show these days so we thought we'd better get some of this incredible stuff on disk.
It's Electric Blues Guitar that has been Chris's main musical style since he was about ten years old.(Please check out "Turn up the Bluea-a-lator" here at CD Baby)
In 1965, Chris won a radio contest when he was 16 years old for the Title "Best Blues Guitarist in San Diego." (KGB radio) He's 56 now and has been a studio owner/producer since 1980 and somehow forgot he was once practically a Blues legend.

Chris "Uncle Gus" Gussa hit the road with a Blues band called, "The Chain Lighting Blues Band" when he was seventeen and stayed out there (With various bands) until settling out in Cochise County Arizona on his Ranch/Studio/Home in 1981.
Chris has been mostly producing jingles etc. lately but one of his main clients (and best friends) is the Legendary Cowboy Humorist, Baxter Black. Baxter used to be a regular on the Johnny Carson Show. "Bax an' Uncle Gus" have appeared on PBS TV together and have produced countless national radio commercials.
Not too many people know that besides being a musician Chris Gussa (or Dr. Christopher Gussa) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbal practitioner and sees patients every day. He also has one of the largest herbal medicine sites on the web. It’s called PlantCures.com! You can also find his music at this site.
Baxter wrote a great review (if you want to call it that) for Chris and said to post it whenever you can, so here it goes, ready or not!
"If I could play guitar like Uncle Gus, I'd burn my banjo, give up my membership in the Drywallers Association and ride shotgun for BB King!"
-Baxter Black
Thanks for listening!
