The John Ulrich Band is an amazing jam band composed of talented musicians from Spokane, WA. This band gravitates listeners to dance and laugh while bringing fresh new sounds to the Northwest. The John Ulrich Band captivates large crowds in small coffe houses to local bar venues to huge festival gatherings. Composed of a guitarist/male singer, bass guitar, kit drums, African drums, and female vocals this band is widely known and loved for the sound they emulate as far east as Atlanta Georgia, to the western coast of Seattle and southern California. The band is composed of great artists and performers who have studied music and art throughout their lives. Guitar/vocals/piano/effects, female vocals, bass guitar, african drums, drum kit.
John Ulrich is an amazing guitarist with over 20 years of experience under his belt.
↓ more ↓This Montana native has been playing since about the age of four and has studied and listened to many artists including The Beatles, John Denver, Garth Brooks, John Williams, Beethoven, Pearl Jam, Pat Matheny, Damien Rice, and his biggest influence to date, Dave Matthews. John plays a variety of instruments including the saxophone, harmonica, keyboard/piano, mandolin, guitar ( acoustic, electric, 12 string), and has an extensive knowledge of foot pedals and sound effects. John believes he, "Has the ability and talent of leading a group of musicians, and the audience, into deep emotional levels of music." He does this by building complex intricate compositions that are known for their space and dissonance. John is considered by many to be, "The next Dave Matthews"
Allison Kromer has been singing and studying voice for over fifteen years. She has been honored with many awards for solo competitions in vocal performance. She has performed in New York in Carnegie Hall under the direction of the famous composer John Rutter. Allison studies the styles of Lauryn Hill, Jaci Velasquez, and classical music. Allison's warm voice is inviting and brings a calm serenity to the sound of the band. Her voice and karma has been described by others to be pure, clean, wholesome, fresh, bright, warm, inviting, calm, beatific, angelic, and saintly. Allison believes music is a, "Universal language that communicates to all peoples and cultures."
Jake Prumers is a bassist with a strong knowledge of jazz theory. This Arizona native has been studying bass for nine years with influences from The Beatles, Jaco Pastorious, Pat Metheny, and Kurt Cobain. Jake believes that when he plays for an audience he is giving it his all by putting himself, "On the line."
