Melodic indie pop rock with catchy melodies and tasty sing-a-longs.
Bio / Background
Atlanta, Georgia has fast become the nation's next breeding ground for today's top acts as diverse as the city. Enter Typhoid Mary, a hard-driving, melodic rock quartet that makes no exception to this while making a cut above the grade.
Since the band's 2003 inception, the young, musical phenom has become synonymous for their brand of hook laden melodies, energetic live shows and tireless work ethic. Comprised of members Mike Cato (lead vocals & guitars), Josh Dobeck (bass & vocals), David Thornton (guitars & vocals) and Michael Robbins rounding out the group on drums, the band has undoubtably become a force to be reckoned with.
Typhoid Mary entered Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta to record their EP "Take Shelter", released in February 2007. Produced by Zack Odom & Kenneth Mount (Cartel, All Time Low, The Fold) and mastered by Gavin Lurssen at The Mastering Lab in Hollywood, California.
↓ more ↓The six song album stands as a defining achievement showcasing much of the band's exemplary musicianship. Many of the songs have already been featured on both major radio stations and podcasts such as Mark Hoppus' (+44, Blink-182) popular online show. The year certainly looks bright for the rock powerhouse with the spotlight on them. With a future tour in the works, a growing fan base, and a steady supply of new songs. Typhoid Mary will leave their mark with staying power and focus for years to come.
